Hoops Star.

Not to brag, but I will, Luke
was THE star of the Somersett
basketball league. He outscored
every other player by double
digits. Luke was an aggressive
shootin' machine.
Luke loves playing basketball,
which is a pretty great thing since
he is just about the tallest
11-year-old ever.
It was fun to watch Luke in
action, as he was guarded by this
huge tank . . . each and every
game!!! Luke took him on and
gave him a HUGE run for his
money.
Shootin' for the extra point . . .
He makes it!!!
It is totally true, these two
were seriously banging it out
throughout the whole entire
last game . . . they were both out
to win!!!
That big guy couldn't stop Luke from
scoring another 2 for his team!!
There are fringe benefits to playing
on a co-ed neighborhood league . . .
Actually, basketball is my favorite
sport to watch either on television
or in person. It is a fast-paced game
and full of action. It is especially fun to
watch when your son loves it and is
playing his heart out!!
Luke takes control of the ball . . .
. . . and scores!!!
Yep, that BIG guy was at it all night
long. Luke came right back at
him each and every time!!!
I am so thankful that Luke had
such a wonderful coach and a
great experience playing basketball. He
made a ton of friends and was able to
get to know some of our new neighbors.
During the season, Mike and I became
known as the parents of "the tall kid".
You can definitely see why!!!

The coach said that he could see
basketball in Luke's future . . .
I think that we can too!

A big shout out to Sam for the awesome
action-packed photos.
