Snow Day.

Yep! The white stuff is coming down
today and supposedly for the next
four days. What does that mean for me?
1. Paper writing.
2. Reading for school.
3. Cooking baking.
4. Quilt making.
5. Looking at fun decorating ideas
for our new home.
6. Wearing cozy clothes.
7. Uggs!
8. How does yummy blueberry
pancakes with whipped cream
and warmed blueberry syrup sound?
9. Snugglin' and huggin'.
10. Sleeping so cozy at night.

My Funny Valentines.

We had so much fun continuing our
Valentine's Day celebration with heart-shaped
pizzas for lunch.
I am so thankful for my family and
appreciate so much all of the love
that they have for me and our
family.

Sam does so much for me! He is my
personal computer wizard, on call
24/7. I appreciate all of his hard
work in school and his dedication
to me and my efforts. Sam is such a
talented photographer, who willingly tries
to teach me how to use my camera so
that my pictures will look better.
He helps me keep this joint running
and is most definitely my right hand man.
We are so glad to have Zach home
and I am so grateful that he is
my resident chauffer and errand runner!
He helps so much around the house
even though he is so busy with his
own life and school work. I am blessed
that he is still willing to put up with me
and he is ever-ready to help with
what needs to get done around here.
My Luke is my cheerleader and ray
of sunshine. He is my backscratcher, foot
rubber, and neck massager. He and I
work hard together all day in school.
He listens to plenty of grumbling during
the day as I complete tasks in
grad school. He and I have tons of
fun laughing and joking as he quickly
brings me back to Earth about a
bazillion times a day, by saying
"Mom, you are overreacting" . . .
Could that ever possibly be true!
Those of you who know me that that
statement is true about every single
minute!!!

Happy Heart Day!

Happy, Happy Valentine's Day
to my main squeeze.
I.love.you.
In our books, the bestest way to
celebrate Heart Day is by whipping
up a batch of homemade pink
heart-shaped pancakes.
(Martha says that pancake batter
should have a few lumps.)
Yummy, yummy fresh strawberries
with just a pinch of sugar added.
Have a great day celebrating Valentine's
Day with your favorite peeps!

Sugar Cookie Tradition.

Ever anticipated Valentine's Day
sugar cookie baking cannot come
soon enough for me!!
Relying on Martha Stewart's best sugar
cookie recipe. I was all to happy an
obligue my crew with a double batch.
I cannot tell you how much joy I
get when I open my drawers and
see all of my cookie cutters.
They bring back so many memories.
A couple of the cookie cutters were
Gram's and I love.love.love baking
with them.
Little chubby fingers cannot keep
themselves away from the cookies
at this point . . .
I am always thrilled when I am able
to get some decorated!!

Funky 2.

Oooooh! I think that I have to
say that I love Funky 2 as much has
his brother Funky 1. I love, love, love
my funky rocker and am so excited
that it is done!!!
In the wee hours of the night I have
found myself working on this puppy!
I find myself dreaming of funky
paintings to put on my rocker!
It has been really fun working on
it and I cannot believe that I found
the time to get him done!!!
I cannot decide if I love the
roses or the big polka dots
the bestest!!
This is only creating a monster . . .
Now I want to get a stool to paint
for my new study in our new home!
Even though I take a pretty tough
beating from the fam, I know that
deep, deep down inside they
love the funky rockers as much
as I do.
Luke wanted me to put his very
favorite chapter of the Bible on
the chair: Matthew 24.
That child simply cannot wait to
meet his Savior!
Sam and Zach did come by from
time and time and comment on
the progress . . .
Mike is "in" after I told him that
I looked some funky rockers up
on eBay that sold for more than
$500.

Looking at my newly painted
funky rockers makes me get
excited about our new front porch
on Mountain Spirit Trail.
I really, really, really cannot
wait to have them there.

Oh, yeah. Funky rockers . . .
must.love.'em.

Pazooooookie!

One of my boys' very favorite treats
is a little gem that we stole from
BJs . . .

The PAZOOKIE!!

Yummy, yummy under-baked
sugar cookies with yummy
chocolate chips, M&Ms, or
white chocolate chip macadamia
nuts topped with a TON
of French vanilla ice cream.
No calories here!

New Digs.

2485 Mountain Spirit Trail
We are chomping at the bit to get
started on our new home right on
this very lot.
The lot is 1.36 acres and the views
are amazing. When we are up there
it seems like we are nestled in the
mountains.
The lot is located above a long
winding road. The boys cannot
wait to jump on bicycles and
ride down it . . . It will not be
as much fun coming back up!
There are gorgeous mountain views
360 degrees. It will be fun to see
the snow on the beautiful mountains
during the winter months.
Let's goooo!
