Out With the Old . . .

Today was the ever-anticipated
annual gingerbread house breaking
ceremony. This is one of our
family traditions of ushering in the
new year.

It is kind of spooky how we can
work so hard on something and
then have so much pleasure
watching it fall to the ground and
break into a bazillion pieces.

Our family is totally jazzed
about the new year. We are so thankful
that we have so many blessings as a
family and truly do look forward to
what the Lord has in store for us
during 2011. We are praying that
the construction of our new home
proceeds along well and we are
totally excited at the anticipation of
living in our new home during the
holidays next year.

Personally, I plan to continue being
the best wife, mother, daughter, and
granddaughter than I can be . . . with
much help from the Lord. I am excited
that I will be completing my comprehensive
exams for my PhD in October and then to
begin the dissertation process at this
time next year. Included in this journey
will be a trip to Dallas in March and a trip
to Anaheim in July.
I pray that I can continue
to do all of the many things that I do
well and pray every moment along the way.

I pray for peace and forgiveness as difficulties
present themselves.
I pray and am so grateful for my family and
wonderful friends. I am excited to take part
in your exciting journeys as well and fell
so blessed to be a part of your lives.

Blessings for a spectacular NEW YEAR.
