We Did It!

A wee bit blurry and a mouth full
of congratulatory M&Ms, Luke
finished four-week courses in order
to earn both his Lifesaving and
Swimming merit badges.  This
class was not for the faint of heart,
every single night for four weeks.
(I think I must might whip up
a little merit badge of my own!)

Congratulations Luke!!!

Gotta Get 'Em All!!

Luke has spent the past several weeks
working diligently on merit badges.  We
have made a plan and have committed to
earning as many of them as we can.  There
are 122 Scout merit badges in all.  If anyone
can earn them all, it is my Luke.  I have
NEVER seen anyone so dedicated to the
tasks that the sets his mind to.  As of lately
he has earned Space Exploration, Citizenship
in the World, Environmental Science,
Disability Awareness.  He is going to start
a three week course soon where he will
earn Swimming and Lifesaving.  Pioneering
is next on our list as is Motor Boating.
He is attending a college next weekend to
earn Citizenship in the Community, Radio,
and Safety.

I love all of the merit badges and do so
enjoy working on them with Luke.  You
would think that after going through these
badges TWICE already, I would have
had enough.  Quite the contrary, I do so
love working with the boys on what they
are interested in.  Believe you me, when
Luke is interested in something: Watch
out!  There is no stopping him.

122, 121, 120, 119, 118 . . .
