Marathon Day!!

Busy, busy day running around in

107 degree heat in Las Vegas!

I had a bazillion errands to run . . .

I managed to squeeze in a two-hour stint

at Square Salon and Spa for a

marvelous cut and color ala Larry.

When in Las Vegas, it is a must to

stop by Costco for the huge

containers of strawberries . . .

Luke's favorite!!!

50% of red lines . . . really, who can resist!

(I have been watching a jacket that

was $110, a steal for $12).

Sam's new favorite haunt is

now the Gap, scored some

definite quick steals there

as well!!

Sam was able to play the

be-a-utiful TPC Summerlin

golf course today with a friend

of his!!!

One Ringy Dingy.

Our realtor (God) has been quite

busy lately!! We have received

calls on our home that we are

selling!! We are so excited to

see what He does! We definitely

feel that God is working to sell

our home and we are excited

about our future endeavors in

Reno, Nevada!!!

Hooray for the 4th of July . . .

one of my very favorite holidays!!

Even though our home is all

packed up, I decided to put

out a couple of my favorite

4th of July decorations!!

4th of July brings back so many

fun memories!! It is such a

special holiday now as we

always celebrate Luke's birthday

on the 4th!! Can't wait!!

Winners . . . All the Way Around!

Today Sam and Luke played in

the Farmer's Cup golf tournament

at Mtn. Falls. This tournament

takes place every summer for

three months, June, July, and

August.

It is an adult/junior tournament.

Sam and Luke have played in the

tournament the past three years.

Sam and his partner finished

with an all-time record for the

Farmer's Cup with a 9 under

par 63!!!

CONGRATULATIONS SAM!!!!!

Luke and typically plays this tournament

with Mike and they won it last year.

This year Luke was paired with another

adult and they came in FIRST PLACE

in their division with a 4 over par!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS LUKE!!!

It was pretty toasty here today

with the temperature reaching

106 as the boys were out on the

greens!!

Tomorrow, they both hit the

links again with a Pahrump

Junior Golf tournament at

3:00 in the afternoon!!

(Just in time for the heat!)

Grandchildren Projects.

Wouldn't she just be p.e.r.f.e.c.t.? Although it

does not look like we will be blessed

with grandchildren anytime

soon . . .

It does not seem wrong to get prepared!!

My little fingers are going to be

busy making fun, fun, items for

the grandchildren playhouse

in our new house!!!

Today was a really, really, fun day!

We played cards for hours and

hours with great friends.

I ate one and a half bags of

BBQ sunflower seeds . . . my

new obsession.

The boys obliged me and watched

"New Moon" with me . . . another

new obsession!!!

I got dressed for the first

time in TWO WHOLE DAYS!!!

We slept in until %$:30!!!

Fun.Fun.Fun!!!

Just Like Pulling Teeth.

Holy Smoke! Luke decided that he

must pull a tooth in order for the

permanent one to come in.

My, oh, my! It was quite a production

and he used EVERY available tool

in the entire bathroom!!

This little baby tooth was so worn

down, it was about the size of a

small pea . . .

Floss, my secret weapon for pulling

baby teeth . . .

Luke opted for more advanced

tools of the trade!!

Five hours later . . . it.was.out!!

First Semester!

Woot! Woot! I received my grades

today for my first semester's coursework

in my PhD program. I earned straight

A's in all of my courses!!

Let's see . . . How should I celebrate?

Honk! Honk!

Seriously, since Mike and Zach have

gone to Reno, I am the official taxi cab driver!!

My peeps have busy schedules, and

I am here to oblige!

pursue my PhD.

15. drives the boys from

college to college and back

again.

16. rides EVERY ride at

Disneyland.

17. fixes EVERYTHING!

18. is patient and kind.

19. will run to the store for

any little item that suits

our fancy.

20. has been so wonderful

to my extended family.

21. is an excellent example

of a husband, father, and

son to his boys.

22. would travel to the ends

of the Earth for us . . .

We are thankful that Bobby is an

important part of our lives.

He is a great Dad and has managed

to put up with all of the goings-on

with our rowdy bunch!

What can I say? Grampa is MY PERSON!

I love him so very much and am so

thankful that we have been so

very close my entire life! I cannot

remember NOT having Grampa! He

has been such an amazing example

to my boys! We are so grateful that is

he such a BIG and IMPORTANT part

of our lives!!!
