Off to Camp.

Luke is packed and ready to go! He has
been waiting for summer Scout camp
for weeks and is finally off for a
week at Camp Fleishmann in
Chester, California about 130 miles
away from Reno. Luke is so cautious
and meticulous. His backpack is packed
perfectly and he has checked his list a
bazillion times over the past week
readying himself for his first
week-long camping experience.

Now, for the hard part! What am I
to do without my sidekick all week?
Read, study, and quilt . . . That should
take some of the edge off.

Miss.you.already.

The Shiz.

Our Tim had a gig last night in South
Lake Tahoe at "Fresh Ketch", a trendy
little restaurant.
Sam was the resident photog and
took some pix and video to show
what an awesome job Tim did.
We have had so much fun since Tim
has been home. Let me just say that
there is NEVER a dull moment with
our #1 at home. We love him so much
and are so proud of him!!

A-C-T-I-O-N.

. . . just a little pic of the forklift that
hit my car . . .
Yep, we now have windows. I did not
think that I would have to do windows,
but I guess that I will be doing quite
a few.
. . . as always a shot of the
"Dissertation Room".
Front door view . . . love, love, love it.
This is a little view of some of the
back of our house . . .
. . . more back views, as I am always
excited to take pics of the front of the
house. Pretty exciting as everything
is starting to take shape and the plywood
roof is on and the windows are in.

Packin' for Camp.

Luke is getting ready to head to
Boy Scout camp for a week!
He is really excited! His troop is headed
to Camp Fleishmann in Chester, California.
Our troop leaders say that the camp is
be-a-utiful.
Luke is going to earn seven merit
badges while he is at camp, including
the Eagle required swimming merit badge.
Luke has lots of great friends in his troop
and he already has bunkmates.
Off to camp for a week, what am I to do?

Happy, Happy Birthday Luke!!

After a week-long of celebrating,
my Luke turned 12 today. His day
started off early with winning a golf
tournament, floating the raging rapids
of the Truckee River, and eating cheesecake.

Luke is an important part of our family
and we are so thankful that he is ours.
Thank you for being who you are.

Happy, Happy, Birthday Luke
and a trillion more!!

Sand Harbor.

Fun, fun, funnest family day with my
boys!! Tim knows all of the awesome
places to go around Northern Nevada.
Today we headed to Sand Harbor.
We played music and laughed and
joked THE ENTIRE day.
It is hard to believe that it is so HOT
right in the middle of the forest, but
it was hot!!! We got in Lake Tahoe to COOL
off.
There is something so relaxing about
putting your tired piggies in the sand.
My BIRTHday boy enjoying his
ROOT beer!!!
Sam had fun taking pics with his
"old school" camera as well as
his SLR with his telephoto lens.
(Boys and the beach . . . there is
NOTHING like a telephoto lens!!)
We are so glad that Tim is home and
is our tour guide.
The beach sand is amazing at
Sand Harbor and is pretty darn
hot on the tootsies. I could not
believe how hot it was there . . .
TOTALLY BEACHY!!!
Thank Heaven for our resident photog.
Seagulls were waiting for crumpets
of food!!
The boys jumped off of the rocks into
Lake Tahoe.
My be-a-uuutiful Sand Harbor.
The boys had fun climbing on rocks,
swimming, eating, and sunbathing.
. . . after a jump.
Of course, our Tim knew the PERFECT
spot to stop on the way home for
some yummy beach food.
Authentic Mexican food is one of our
family faves and T's did not disappoint.
After being at the beach ALL day, what
could be better than soft tacos, burritos,
guac, salsa, and chips.
Day at the beach with your very favorite
peeps: a win!!

Celebrating the 4th.

We had SO MUCH fun celebrating the
big 1-2 with our Luke.
What more could we wish for? Luke
is an awesome son and brother!! We
love him so, so much!
Red, white, and blue . . . the bestest
way to celebrate a birthday.
Luke loves cake and ice cream and
there is NO better way to celebrate
than with a three-layer doozie such
as this . . .
More sweets for the sweet.
Luke waits ALL YEAR long to celebrate
his birthday. He loves birthdays more than
anyone that I know.
Packages containing Luke's very
favorite things . . .
All week long, Luke wanted to go
in my closet for just a "peek" at the
presents and cards . . . The anticipation
was killing him.
Luke loves to make s'mores right in
the microwave at night.
One happy, happy birthday boy.
Awesome bros to celebrate with.
Tim always has the best ideas on
how to put Luke's birthday funds
to good use.
The wad.
One of the birthday cards said, "What
could I possibly ask for other than a
grandson like you", Sam replied "A
grandson like me".
Tim had an awesome idea to go to
this burger joint that made burgers
almost as big as Luke, the "Awful,
Awful". Truthfully, I have NEVER seen
such a big burger and TONS of fries.
Gramps was along to celebrate!
Luke you are 1-2, not 2-1.
We had a great family day celebrating
the 4th and one of our very favorite peeps!

Happy.Birthday.Luke.
