Sand Harbor.

Fun, fun, funnest family day with my
boys!! Tim knows all of the awesome
places to go around Northern Nevada.
Today we headed to Sand Harbor.
We played music and laughed and
joked THE ENTIRE day.
It is hard to believe that it is so HOT
right in the middle of the forest, but
it was hot!!! We got in Lake Tahoe to COOL
off.
There is something so relaxing about
putting your tired piggies in the sand.
My BIRTHday boy enjoying his
ROOT beer!!!
Sam had fun taking pics with his
"old school" camera as well as
his SLR with his telephoto lens.
(Boys and the beach . . . there is
NOTHING like a telephoto lens!!)
We are so glad that Tim is home and
is our tour guide.
The beach sand is amazing at
Sand Harbor and is pretty darn
hot on the tootsies. I could not
believe how hot it was there . . .
TOTALLY BEACHY!!!
Thank Heaven for our resident photog.
Seagulls were waiting for crumpets
of food!!
The boys jumped off of the rocks into
Lake Tahoe.
My be-a-uuutiful Sand Harbor.
The boys had fun climbing on rocks,
swimming, eating, and sunbathing.
. . . after a jump.
Of course, our Tim knew the PERFECT
spot to stop on the way home for
some yummy beach food.
Authentic Mexican food is one of our
family faves and T's did not disappoint.
After being at the beach ALL day, what
could be better than soft tacos, burritos,
guac, salsa, and chips.
Day at the beach with your very favorite
peeps: a win!!

Celebrating the 4th.

We had SO MUCH fun celebrating the
big 1-2 with our Luke.
What more could we wish for? Luke
is an awesome son and brother!! We
love him so, so much!
Red, white, and blue . . . the bestest
way to celebrate a birthday.
Luke loves cake and ice cream and
there is NO better way to celebrate
than with a three-layer doozie such
as this . . .
More sweets for the sweet.
Luke waits ALL YEAR long to celebrate
his birthday. He loves birthdays more than
anyone that I know.
Packages containing Luke's very
favorite things . . .
All week long, Luke wanted to go
in my closet for just a "peek" at the
presents and cards . . . The anticipation
was killing him.
Luke loves to make s'mores right in
the microwave at night.
One happy, happy birthday boy.
Awesome bros to celebrate with.
Tim always has the best ideas on
how to put Luke's birthday funds
to good use.
The wad.
One of the birthday cards said, "What
could I possibly ask for other than a
grandson like you", Sam replied "A
grandson like me".
Tim had an awesome idea to go to
this burger joint that made burgers
almost as big as Luke, the "Awful,
Awful". Truthfully, I have NEVER seen
such a big burger and TONS of fries.
Gramps was along to celebrate!
Luke you are 1-2, not 2-1.
We had a great family day celebrating
the 4th and one of our very favorite peeps!

Summer Quilt Camp.

The requirements are rigorous, the
hours are long, and the grub
is scarce, but since I am the only
attendee, I am moving right along
in my quest to finish a bazillion quilts
by Friday when my new courses begin.
Yep, I am jazzed, smoke is flying
from my machine and I am quilting
up a storm.
I love, love, love finished projects!!

All Hands on Deck.

Busy, busy crew today over at our
be-a-uuuuutiful new home.
We all worked hard so that we might get
the electrical almost done this weekend.
Zach has totally been the man going to
the house 8-10 hours each and every day
working on the electrical and whatever
needed to be done.
One of the problems with hiring this crew
is that they need to eat!!!
What is up with that?!?
Sam and Luke are really getting a
handle on wiring homes and they work
super hard also. Sam also helps so much
as he knows all about the televisions,
computers, and telephones. He is our
go-to communications guy.
I do not know what I would do without
my Luke out there. He is so helpful
and committed. He does ANYTHING that
he is asked to do no matter how heavy
or hard it is to do.
We.are.getting.there.
