Golfer's Tan.

Summer isn't even here yet and
Sam is already as brown as a berry,
as they say!!
After Sam beat his Dad by 10 strokes this
morning, he continued playing until
the wee evening hours . . . 9 hours out
on the course! He was sleeping when I
snuck this pic of his golfer's tan.
Wow! Big 2-day tournament coming
up for this guy next week.

Hit 'em straight, Sam!

Action.

Oh, yeah!! We are now the proud
owners of MORE concrete!!!
Our second two-car garage was poured
today along with Mike's workshop!
Workshop . . . what is THAT all about!?!
Our best helper can't wait to get
involved!!!
It will be soooo incredibly great to have
garages to park in after living in our
rental home these months in the
rain, sleet, snow, and wind. I cannot
wait to hop into my car in the garage
and hit the road!
We.are.getting.there!

Internship.

In, what is now, the last phases
of coursework for my PhD, I am
participating in a six-month internship
at George Westergard Elementary School
in be-a-uuutiful Reno, Nevada.
The school is beautiful. The teachers
are so nice. The students are great.
The parents are awesome!
I love the school, which is located
about six minutes from our new home.
The crazy thing is is that we will be
moving into our new home about
two weeks after my internship is
complete. I am so grateful for my
awesome family . . . they work so
hard so that I may achieve this goal
that I have set for myself.
We make a great team and I am
so thankful!!!

Update.

I could not believe that my #4 was
sleeping like a little rock when
we got to the new house to check
it out. He's my #1 inspector, you know.
Plumbing, plumbing, plumbing!
We Tietjen's believe in showering,
some of us MULTIPLE times daily!
Almost all of our walls have been
built and will be standing up
by the end of THIS week!!!!
The crawl space beneath our new
home is 3 feet deep!!! (The kids
already LOVE that space!!!) Why
did we go to the expense of bedrooms!?!
In case you were wondering, red is for
hot water and blue is for cold. Luke
is learning all of this as he is working
on his plumbing merit badge while we
are getting the house built. (We love
multi-tasking . . . ).
Our electrical boxes!!!
One long trench for gas and electric.
Chop! Chop!
My helper arrived on the scene just
in time!!! He has so much fun crawling
around under the house!!!
