No time for chit-chat!

It's paper writing time!

The funny thing about me is I

write the best papers when I:

1. am hungry.

2. have a face mask on.

3. have not taken a shower.

4. have two to three hours to

write the entire paper at once . . .

no breaks!

Poppy Hour!

You must know that popcorn is my

very favorite treat!

Mike is actually THE best popcorn

popper and he usually makes me

popcorn in the WHIRLYPOP almost

every night!!!

Thursday night is reserved as our

"Family TV Night". We do not have time

during most other nights to catch up on

a few of our favorite shows.

Our favorite shows at the moment are:

1. "Modern Family"

2. "The Middle"

3. "Big Bang Theory"

4. "House"

My Bestest Pal.

Everyone needs a BEST PAL . . . rain or

shine . . . everyone must have one!!

I am so blessed to have the BEST MOM

on the entire planet. I am so, so

thankful for YOU!! Thank you for

everything!!

Golf Course Pix.

While Mike, Luke, and I were waiting for Sam to

finish golfing . . .

Luke and I hoofed it around the golf course

and took random pictures!

The wind was only blowing about 60 miles per hour,

but we still had fun snapping pics!

ULTIMATE CAKE OFF!!!

I am going to grab a slice of cake, hop in bed,

and tune in for tonight's challenge.

Luke's Quilts.

During all of our homeschooling years, we have made

a bazillion quilts! The quilts have been puked on, slept on,

washed about 600 times, and cuddled with.

When I was tucking Luke in tonight, memories of

making several of the quilts that he put on

his bed came flooding back as I miss those days

when the boys were so little and they would COLOR

the quilt squares.

We have made a quilt on just about every subject

you can think of!

I cannot believe it but some of the quilts are almost ten

or 13 years old now!

I am so grateful for our homeschooling years and

that we have so many fun memories to share!

Red, White, and Blue.

I do not like it Uncle Sam, I do not like it Sam I am.

I do not like these dirty crooks, neither how they cook the

books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their secret deals.

I do not like the speaker Nan, I do not like this 'YES WE CAN'. I do

not like this kind of hope, I do not like it . . . . nope, nope, nope!

Roses Are Red. Roses Are Blue.

I looked out the window and what did I see?

My first new b.e.a.uuuuuutiful roses staring at me!!!

The first roses are always so pretty and amazing after a

cold winter! I am really excited about my rosebushes

this year!! They have really matured! I cannot wait

for the full onslaught of the beautiful blooms!

Old Flicks.

I LOVE old movies . . . I could watch them over

and over and over and over!

I love the costumes!!!

I love the singing!!!

I love the sets!!!

I love the fact that I don't have to cover

my eyes for some of the scenes!

I am in the mood for a big bowl of popcorn

and an old movie . . . right now!!!

Busted!

Not really! Zach, Luke, and I each had to have our

fingerprints done. Zach had to have his completed

for his education classes, Luke needed his fingerprints

for his Fingerprinting merit badge, and I needed

mine for my Idaho teaching licence.

Fingerprinting is not like it used to be. It is all done

on computers now and is really and interesting

process.

Do not be too sad for my little "criminals". They are

really the "bestest" boys that ANYONE could EVER

hope for . . . I love them so much and am glad

that they are mine!!!

Regalia.

Still excited about THE MASTER'S,

and encouraged after 10 days of Doctoral studies . . .

I am excited about my graduation regalia.

The ACADEMIC HOOD is so b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l!

I was more emotional than I thought I would

be when I was presented with the clothing.

I am so thankful for my accomplishment and

am counting the days until the PhD!!!

Let it Go . . .

"to let go isn't to forget,

not to think about, or ignore.

it doesn't leave feelings of anger,

jealousy, or regret.

letting go isn't about winning or losing.

it's not about pride

and it's not about how you appear,

and it's not about obsessing or dwelling on the past.

to let go is to cherish the memories,

but to overcome and move on.

it is having an open mind

and confidence in the future.

letting go is learning and experiencing and growing.

to let go is to be thankful for the experiences that

made you laugh, made you cry, made you grow.

it's about all that you have, all that you had,

and all that you will soon gain.

letting go is having the courage to accept change,

and the strength to keep moving.

letting go is growing up.

it is realizing that the heart can sometimes

be the most potent remedy.

to let go is to open a door,
and to clear a path and set yourself free. "

Life's Great!

Life IS great . . . Sunday great! I most definitely

love Sundays . . . typically church is included, but

here are 10 reasons why I loved today:

1. Luke came home from his sleepover.

2. We talked to Tim straight from Liberty of the Seas!!!!

3. I baked two yummy loaves of French bread . . . we

ate them both!

4. M&Ms . . . need I say more?

5. Studying, studying, studying . . . all of us!

6. Hot from the oven chocolate chip cookies.

7. Laughing! Laughing! Laughing!

8. Doors and windows open all day.

9. Swimming pool all ready for next season.

10. Family! Family! Family.
