Chair Seat Recovering Success.

Before fabric.
Usually I am totally unhappy with the
results of DIY projects of this type.
However, God was with me today
as I enlisted the help of my fellow
comrades and we recovered the chair
seat covers for the awesome table that
will be my "desk" in my new office
in our brand spankin' new house!!!
After fabric.
I love, love, love this fabric and have
been waiting for Joanne's to list it at
50% off. Yesterday was the day. I
flew over to the fabric store immediately
and purchased 1 1/2 yards of this baby.
I also had to make an early morning run
to Home Depot for a $2.79 box of staples
for our electric stapler.
I so love how the chair seats turned
out! I am excited to be working on
my dissertation at my new desk with
my new chair seat covers in front of
the new window in our new house!!!

33 days and counting!!!

Let the Treatments Begin.

After praying all night about Dr. L's
protocol, I was a wee bit worried that we
would not be able to remember all that
he had told us and be able to do
everything ourselves. We were all so
excited to help our Dad and dove in
head first. The boys were amazingly
awesome and helped in every way
possible. God was faithful and helped
us with all of the steps. WE DID IT!!
We are confident in these methods
and thankful for Bobby's determination
to find a cure for Mike's cancer. We
will be heading back to Sacramento in
several weeks so that Dr. L. can make
certain that we are performing all of the
steps correctly and that Mike is progressing.
We are also excited about the ionic foot
baths and are praying that we can
purchase one of the machines as Mike
needs this for part of his treatment plan.

Our New Hero.

We have been praying, reading, and searching
much about natural cancer remedies. This is
an area that is highly controversial and a
personal decision. Mike and I drove to
Sac-Town today and were so excited that
we were able to meet the "famous"
Dr. Lubecki. He is a man of God and a
man who has a commitment and passion
for healing the whole body of those who are
sick and afflicted. Our appointment at his
clinic lasted FIVE hours!!

Dr. Lubecki has written many books
including: "END of Cancer", "Let's
Put an End to Cancer", and "Conquering
Disease". He has been in practice for
over FORTY years and is truly a wonderful
80+ year old man. Mike and I both
immediately fell in love with him and
knew that we were in the right spot
when, after a lengthy discussion regarding
Mike's cancer, he replied with "Is that all . ."
Teary eyed, Mike and I could not believe
the rest of our appointment and how
Dr. Lubecki firmly believes that, if we
follow his directions to the letter, we
will have complete victory in this battle
we are facing.

The boys and I have our marching orders.
The protocol that we must follow each
day must be followed exactly as he has
instructed us and without fail. Mike also
must stick to the strict diet regimen that
he has been following for the past four
weeks. As we pray our way through every
moment of this new regime, we are
refreshed, invigorated, and excited that
we are approaching the healing of
Mike's cancer in a positive manner!

Have you EVER had an ionic foot bath?
Ask Mike all about it . . . WOW!

McQueen Tourney.

Today boasted 68* weather, a wee
bit windy . . . almost perfect for the
third golf tournament of the boys'
golf season, held at Somersett.
Sam played great! Like all good golfers,
had a few "rough" holes, but overall
did a great job. We were excited to watch
the boys play and to have a strong finish.
The course is still in pretty rough shape
after the cold winter months, but in a couple
of months will be green and ready for action.
Somersett is the hardest course that the
boys' golf team plays during the season.
It is hilly and boasts long holes. The crews
were tired as they approached the 18th
hole!
My two companions and I had fun
while we were waiting for the guys
to tally up their scores. Actually, we
were debating just what we would
have for a little snack on our way home.
Two of my very favorite peeps!
. . . the guys verifying their scores.

As much as golf is an individual sport, we
enjoy watching the teams compete. Sam
has great team spirit and supports all of
the brand new golfers on the team this
year. We are a wee bit sad that Sam will
not play for McQueen during his senior
year. Next year, Sam will be a Desert Oasis
Diamondback. Truly it is a blessing as he
will be playing for the executive director
of Pahrump Valley Junior Golf Association.
He is excited that Sam will be playing
for their team next year. Their home
course is Highland Falls in Summerlin.
Sam's sidekick, Luke, is excited to play
golf for the middle school next year.

Feather Quilt Project.

So, after I waking up for the bazillionth day with
feathers in my mouth, I was determined that
today would be the day that I would deal
with our favoritist feather quilt that Mike's
Mom gave us so many years ago. During the
years I have resewn and patched the heck
out of our old reliable feather quilt, but
today, I had to roll up my sleeves and
put a new front and back over on our dear
old friend. Rain or shine, I cannot sleep
without our feather quilt. It is too hot for
all of the other members of my family to
sleep with, but for me, I must have it
every.single.night.

I think that this baby should be good
to go for another SIXTY plus years!!
