my new craze. Making one of these

babies is like therapy, except for the

occasional hot glue burn! Anyhow,

I can just see these for all of the

Tietjen occasions!!

Late Night Snack.

Making the boys a late night snack,

I realized that if you want to

accomplish anything, plan on a

big scoop of sacrifice with a

cherry on top.

Anything in life worth doing is

not going to be easy, it will not

fit perfectly into your organized

schedule or miraculously

happen with no effort!

. . . Just sayin'!

Afternoon Cali Trip.

Today we took a little spin to one

of our very favorite places on Earth . . .

California Hardwoods in Auburn,

California. Creating a memory and

in search of an awesome reclaimed

barn beam for our fire place mantel

was the object of our little treck.

California Hardwoods NEVER

disappoints, we were able to visit

all of our wood flooring that will

soon be delivered to our new home . . .

and pick out a bea-u-ti-mous beam

for our fireplace mantel.

Actually, my guys located the pile

of pine barn timbers and Luke

immediately pointed out THE ONE!

We are excited! Our awesome

reclaimed barn beam mantel will

be cut to size and delivered to our

new home with our awesome

hickory wood floors in a couple

of weeks . . .

Are we getting close or what?!?

Action.

Oh, yeah. We are lovin' the action

at our new digs . . . The guys are

busy hanging doors, taping, and

painting the trim outside.

How can a girl get so excited over

taping mud . . . because that means

painting and wood flooring and

cabinets are soon to follow!

I just cannot wait to stand here and

do dishes and look out at my amazing

mountain view!! I say that I will

"never" complain about doing dishes!?!

Birthday Bash!

Woot! Woot! for the Tietjen BIRTHDAY

BASH!!! As crazy as it has been around

here lately, we all decided that the best

plan would be to celebrate three awesome

birthdays at once . . . And that we did!

How could we not have fun with this

cute crew?!?

I could go on and on and on about this

amazing gentlemen and the help and

comfort he has provided me lately!!

Happy, happy, happy birthday to three

amazingly wonderful people in my life!!!

It just would not be right to celebrate

a Tietjen BIRTHDAY without a Pozookie!

Wow! Celebrating three BIRTHDAYS at

once seemed like CHRISTmas. It was

especially fun as we had some gifts that

we were so excited to give that we almost

could not wait!

Sam received an awesome new golf

bag for his clubs. Many in Somersett

seriously razzed him about his golf

bag that was tattered and torn . . . Not

any longer!! He has a brand-spankin'

new one!! Sam got a great deal on a

new smokin' phone for Zach and we

could hardly wait for him to open it.

Mike, who has last a bazillion pounds,

needed some new duds!! Whew!

Does he ever look sharp!!!

Sam received a new golf cap that could

replace the one that has been chewed

on by dogs, run over by cars, and

stained multiple times over. You know

how it is with "lucky" caps, you cannot

give them up. I begged and begged for

him to give me the old one so that

we could "donate it".

"Present time"!

Wow! I wonder how he would respond

to $100!?!

Yesireee!! It was a wonderfully fun

celebration for the Tietjen crew and

a strong reminder of our many, many,

many blessings and how much our

Father in Heaven loves, loves, loves us . . .

unconditionally.

Happy, happiest BIRTHDAY to one

of my very favorite people!

For the life of me, I cannot believe

that our Zach is 22 today!!!

Zach is most definitely an

important part of our family and

we are so, so, so grateful that

the Lord blessed us with him.

I can remember loving him

so much even before he was

born!! Tim was so excited

to have a baby brother!

Today marks yet another

milestone for the Tietjen crew

as we delight in the fact that

our boys are growing into

amazing young men with

integrity and strong character.

Our Zach:

*is funny!

*tells looooooooong stories.

*is an AMAZING teacher.

*loves the Lord.

*has a strong commitment to

his family.

*puts himself last.

*is a wonderful son, grandson,

and brother.

*is Grampa's go to guy for

Wal-mart runs.

*is an awesome example to

his brothers.

*has a million friends.

*wakes up with a smile.

*will be glad to be done

with college.

*has his own reasons for

many of the things that

he does.

*has a contagious laugh!

Witches and Spiders and Caldrons! Oh, my!

I love, love, love, decorating for the

holidays and Halloween is one of my

very favorites!!

The boys love the eerie spiders winding

their way up the stairway . . .

The kids have an idea of who

this hat fits . . .

Candy truly does not last very

long in my sweet spider!!

Reeses and Snickers are the

favorites around our house.

How cute is the little face on my

sweet little witch!?!
